SUPPORTING COMMUNITIES
Supporting Karrom – A South Asian Board Game Community
Recently, I had the chance to attend my very first Karrom event, and it was such a wholesome and memorable experience. Founded by Abdus, alongside his amazing team, Karrom is a community built around a traditional South Asian board game that brings people together through friendly competition, laughter, and culture.
As a founder myself, it was refreshing to step into another community space, not just to play but also to network and connect. The atmosphere was welcoming, the people were supportive, and the energy was full of excitement. And yes — I’ll admit, I did lose a few games (I’m still working on becoming a pro!), but every match was fun and full of encouragement.
What stood out most was the dedication of Abdus and his team. Their effort to create a safe, engaging, and enjoyable environment is inspiring, and it reflects the same values we hold at London’s Collective.
Karrom isn’t just a game — it’s a community, and one that London’s Collective will continue to support until the very end.
